Nylons as fan filters question...

OK, so they work great, but how do you guys keep em taunt enough on the fan face to not get sucked into the blades? If I jsut slip like a little tube of nylons over the fan, it's not tight enough, and gets sucked too close and whines/rips :p
 
I've never heard/thought of this. Sounds like a good idea.

Pull the nylon taught over one end (you only want it on one side right?) and tightly apply some tape, or a rubber band (in addition to super glue/some sort of cement to make a more permanent fix). Would something like this work well enough?
