while i was reapplying thermal paste to the memory and gpu.. i left the metal standoffs and the cushion that goes between them in my lap... i got up quickly forget that they were there... i lost 1standoff and 1 cushion.... will the card work the same if just the 1 of each were missing.. im thinking of getting a new one.. just wanted to get some input on this situation

I would assume those are important, especially since you need to apply even pressure.
 
yea,i was thinking that. for now i have the top 2 and the bottom left.. those seem to be more important,they cover the ram..
 
I say you have to start a search party in that couch. Go through it one last time.
