Nvidia Video Card Problem

It seems as if the GeForce 5200 FX came today (for my dads PC). Anyways, we tried running up Destroyer Command and it seems to be all garbled up. I tried different drivers, but nothing seemed to really work!

I tried the 61.77 & 61.76 & and the 60.85's

Not sure what to do.

Basically, like lines are cross crossing and all these weird colors and stuff. Not sure what's wrong!
 
Hmm, seems like an old game, looks good to me anyway but no demo so ahh well. As for your problem, I would try some older drivers. If that doesnt work try the patch, which I doubt will fix it. (it isnt on the fix list anyhow)

And if all else fails try techsupport for the game. Wish I could help more, but I have no experience with the game and there isnt a demo that I can mess with.
 
Since its happening in multiple games, I would like to lean to heat. (I havent heard of many overheating fx5200's though) Try running with your case open to see if it goes away, most likely a long shot.

(Heat degrades the signal-to-noise ratio, which can lead to the gpu unable to tell 1's from 0's; which normally ends up in a crash or evenly spaced artifacts on the screen)

If the card is still new you may want to exchange it to rule out any hardware problems.
 
Well, your best shot again is with the game's tech support. Assuming the card isnt damaged, (bad ram etc) overheating, and older drivers didnt fix it.

You may want to run a somewhat modern 3dgame to ensure that it also doesnt have any problems, because right now im blaming a game bug, which is very odd when two different games show the same problem.

Other than that I dont know what to tell ya, hopefully some one will reply who is familar with these games and knows if its a common problem.
