Nvidia - VIA compatability

I bought a 6800GT last night, and someone warned me that I made a mistake as Nvidia and VIA motherboards (I have an MSI K8T Neo) have compatability issues. I've read a ton about the 6800s, but haven't heard this before. True? Not ture? Thanks.
 
Haven't heard any such thing. Although having a 6800GT on a VIA motherboard is kinda a funny picture regardless.
 
I have a 6800GT on a an ASUS A8V Deluxe, which is VIA, and it kicks ass. Worry not.

Yeah, if I had to do it again I'd buy one of the Nforces (they were behind the curve when I bought the MSI)--I can't say I've been overly happy with my motherboard--onboard audio has failed on both copies of it I've had, for starters
