i went through everything
tested memory =flawless
tested PSU =flawless
GPU =flawless
hardware is clean =standart dust

now WTF 314 drivers gave me kernel short crashes , odd square artifacts even when using the skyrim creation kit . Got annoyed and rolled back to 301.42 drivers...guess what ...everythings working like a charm . is it that hard to figure out this issue ??

I was bout to upgrade to a gtx 670 ...but with these shitty drivers of nvidia ..it somewhat scares me off

Nvidia isn't perfect notsure. They will make mistakes. Using old drivers to resolve your issue isn't common for some people. There are people using very old drivers for the game(s) they play because so and so driver works best for that game.

So every other driver is fine just this last one is causing you issues? Reverting to previous drivers is an option. You know in windows there even is a roll back driver option. With millions of hardware configurations not everything is always going to work. I had one driver set that made a card whine, I had the card for like 4 years and out of all the driver releases that one set was garbage didn't freak out about it just used a different driver and waited for the next release.

because of Skyrim creation kit? :rolleyes:

its still labaled as one of the worst console ports to date.

301.42's, 306.97's and 310.90's were the only drivers that gave me no issues. Every other drivers I used or tested, had nothing but problems with my old 670 and 680.

If your current drivers are giving you issues, just roll back and call it a day.

Ati/amd isn't any better if that is what the op is thinking. I specifically sold my all amd rig because of driver problems and went with a gtx 570. It's been perfect ever since.

Enough Said

what ticks me off is simply this : on the forums official moderators make a huge post bout what is mostlikely causing it ...as stated in my opening testing results showed my hardware flawless .i think
they just stop caring bout backward compability of their drivers and if there are any complaints they got their answers ready
i dont demand perfect drivers ...but at least ingame working ones . guess im stuck with 301 forever..

@jmilcher
wow you must feel pretty good now that you labeled me as a troll....pathetic

nvda driver quality went down hill some time ago and you're probably right about them having canned answers.

Strangely, I remember when ATI used to release trash every release.

Would you mind linking to the huge post about what is most likely causing it?

When I had a 5970, I literally had to install a different 10.x driver depending on the game i was playing to get a decent experience. BC2 was 10.4beta.b's, Source engine games were like 10.12's, and a few others i don't have programmed into my head anymore. When you add mods and other things that ARE NOT tested in driver signing, you will find that you have to play around to find the right fit for your specific situation. Forums will always have someone willing to look into it with you, and depending on the situation, validate that there may NOT be a fix for your scenario. Look at crossfire/sli scaling in Skyrim - you are never going to have it.

Be happy that you can play your game as intended with ANY driver available, because there are endless situations that will never have a fix in that videocards lifetime.
