What does this do exactly? Im using rivatuner and everytime I want to up the core, it does it fine, but i have to "test" it first. This option wont let me go above 420 on the core, or 1.15 on mem, is it a safety limit or something? BTW the temps are around 60* idle, 68* load.
 
run this with the window stretched out so it overs as much of your screen as possible but still able to see the temp reading on the nvdisplay. This will show your true temps during load since the temps drop almost instantly as soon as you exit a game.

What card are you trying to OC? If its a 6800GT, 420 is almost its limit, if not the limit.
 
at 1024x768 with 4xAA i was gettin about 28fps...is that normal?...temps went up to like 74*
