NVIDIA nForce 680i Solutions

my personal experience is that after 2 EVGA went bad on me and the first one literally fried my corsair dominator memory and the second just kept rebooting itself and mouse issues
i now own a P5n32E is a lot more stable than the EVGA ever was however it is not without issues the main issue i am having is

screen will flicker every so often and was having issues with nvenetfd.sys kept crashing i disable both onboard nics and uninstall the drivers and install a linksys nic, i do not longer get bsod but the screen keeps flickering (it goes dark for a few seconds then it comes back) it is annoying as hell.

it would do this either a stock settings or at my current oc 8x475 on a E6600 it is orthos stable 12hrs and i ran memory86 test for 5 hours without an error at oc speeds i have installed and re-installed drivers and os without any luck

if anyone could offer some advice it would be really appreciate it

btw my 2 raptors raid 0 performance sucks

...and their are several good boards out there; for me, if you are looking at SLI now or in the near future, I'd go with the eVGA 680i board...if not, or if Crossfire solutions are more to your liking, check out the Intel BadAxe2. The Intel is rock solid, less touchy, and more "mature"...the 680i is cutting edge and will continue to mature with BIOS and driver updates in the months ahead.

I got my setup in my sig, running for 3 weeks now and not one crash. It came with an older bios, but once I got it online I updated to the P24. System is stable and am very pleased with it. If I didnt want to keep the SLi I would of wen with the DS3. Its another great OC board. I am very pleased with my OC on my E4300. I could push it more, but I have no reason to. :D
 
Well, even after reading all this stuff about "issues" with this board. I think I'll get one. The only feature it doesn't have that I'd like is eSATA. I guess I'll just have to for a slightly larger P/S and move those spare drives into the case. I was thinking of buying an EVGA 8800GTS/640 with this board. Any comments in this regard would be welcome! :)
