Hello, This is regarding my gtx 590 windows minimizing problem. You guys probably know this card has 2 gpu in 1 card. The problem i am having is whenever i enable multi gpu to increase my card performance, i have problem minimizing windows or ALT+ TAB. It takes like 2 or 3 seconds to minimize to desktop. The screen goes black for those 2 and 3 seconds. I tried to change setting in windows peformace visual effects setting. i am still getting this problem. i have the new garphic driver installed. Whenever i have 1 gpu enabled, i minimize my game or alt tab instantly from game.

if you guys know whats causing the problem, i would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

What make and model Windows? What PC - detail?

Try an old graphic driver.

When did this start? eg Windows update, driver update, hardware change

I've always had this problem. In Windows 7, now Windows 10. The reason i didnt care before because i used played with single GPU before. Now that the games required more power, so i decided to enable Multi GPU on the card. The games i play are Wow, Overwatch, Heroes of Strom. Never had problem with it before with single gpu. I dont know whats causing the longer minimizing problem.

I had 2 Nvidia Geforce GTX 590. I enable quad Sli. I get the problem. When i use 1 card 1 gpu. No problem.

My computer spec:

Processor: Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 990X 3.46GH

Motherboard: ASUS Rampage III Extreme

System Memory: 12GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz

Video Card(s): 2x SLI Quad SLI (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 3GB (PhysX) (EVGA Classified)

Harddrive - 2x Intel 520 SSD Raid0

Power Supply: 1200W Corsair Pro Gold Series

As I recall back from the last time I used SLI, albeit a while ago (GTX 260's), this was normal behavior.
