The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition is on the test bench today at Neoseeker. The crew pit the GTX 1060 against an AMD RX 480 and a GTX 970 for good measure. You can see our evaluation here for comparison purposes.

The new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 is built around the Pascal GP106, a scaled-down GPU compared to the GP104 powering the beastly GTX 1080 and 1070. However, the new chip still offers all of Pascal's features at a lower price bracket. NVIDIA also opted to remove the SLI feature from the GTX 1060 in what seems to be a crippling blow to a very promising card at first glance. Today I'm taking the NVIDIA GTX 1060 Founders Edition for a spin to see how it fares against AMD's Radeon RX 480 8GB and the beefy EVGA GTX 970 SC.

I was looing into the 1060's but the [H] Deus Ex review makes me a bit leary. I will wait for price drop of the 1070's. My main games are Americas Army:proving grounds and MechWarrior:eek:nline so I know it will run those awesomely.
Single player it's time to ramp things up to hold me over until this VR stuff really matures and has some good stuff to play with.

Bought a GTX 1060 last week and, while I don't have buyer's remorse per say, I'm a little disappointed with it's performance in Deus Ex. That said, the nice thing about the GTX 1060 is that it's cheap enough that I won't feel guilty about replacing it in two years.
