NVIDIA Forceware 65.91 WinXP/2000

Update: Sorry guys... Set was broken. D3D wasn't working. I got good news. I'll be uploading a newer in the next half hour... So keep your eyes peeled. This set is known to be working just fine.

Just did, they seem ok...

Gained 100 points in 3dmark2k3 (Nothing to cheer about)

Edit - Redid doom 3 benchies...

61.77 - 1024x768 Ultra 69.8

66.00 - 1024x768 Ultra 63.1
 
my doom3 timedemo went from 54.5 fps to 57.1fps at 1280x1024 4xAA/8xAF. Decent increase...Farcry was virtually the same, only went up about 1 fps
 
My Doom3 speed went from 33.4fps to 37.3fps at 1600x1200 4xaa 16xaf...

Plus it's pretty cool, the drivers are easier to work with, not as crowded, more options...and they call out my monitors by name which is pretty cool...before they were just monitor 1, monitor 2, now they're Dell 2001FP(1) and Dell 21001FP(2)...

St. Nick hasn't visited my house in a few years. I thought he got that the whole battery acid-flavored cookie incident was just a simple and harmless misunderstanding.

I'm installing them now. I'll report my results soon.

OK i did some Doom 3 only benches and they are listed below:
all testing was done with
1280x1024 4xAA 8xAF ultra quality, xios skin pack (ultra ultra high quality skins/monsters)

65.62 beta drivers r_usedepthboundstest 0 (without ultrashadow 2)
bootup > launch of Doom 3 > 1st run 43.0 fps. > 2nd run right after 1st 46.3
close of Doom 3 r_usedepthboundstest 1 (with ultrashadow 2)
<><><> launch of doom 3 > 1st run 46.7 fps. > 2nd run right after 1st 47.2

66.00 beta drivers r_usedepthboundstest 0 (without ultra shadow 2)
bootup > launch of Doom 3 > 1st run 45.7 fps. > 2nd run right after 1st 47.2
close of Doom 3 r_usedepthboundstest 1 (with ultrashadow 2)

without a calculator that looks like a 4-5 fps increase in the 66.00 drivers vs ultrashadow off vs ultrashadow on. that equates to 8-10 % increase in doom 3!!!!! not bad if you ask me, hopefully with more work nvidia can increase this lead even more! decent increase over old beta drivers compared to new ones, pretty comparable to the gains with ultra shadow. I was very surprised.
 
um holy shit....

the first set of #'s wehre with an overclock of 450/1150...

apparently after installing the new drivers my overclock was reset as well as some of the quality settigns and optimizations...

the second set reset my overclock to 425/1100....

im gonna redo with the overclock.... that means the gain should be even more....

OK reran... and im gonna have to do more testing when i wake up but there seems to be a huge difference now with the optimizations on and the overclock but take these with a grain of salt cause i dont even think it makes sense.

without ultra shadow
run 1 47.0
run 2 62.3

with ultrashadow
run 1 51.1
run 2 60.4

thats a huge ass jump in performance from the 66.00 beta drivers.

46.3 for second run with old drivers and no ultra shadow (keep in mind OLD BETA drivers)
62.3 for second run with new drivers and no ultra shadow!!!!!!!

thats like a huge ass difference. im not even gonna calculate the percentage.

again take these with a grain of salt cause its 5 in the morn and i am very tired and need to retest to make sure every variable was the same. I am almost 95 % sure it was tho, the only thing i want to make sure of is the image quality and i will do that tomarrow when i get home from work.

One of the reason i Love nVIDIA since my trusty old nVIDIA VANTA 4MB , for Excellent Driver support. Way to go nVIDIA.
