I just updated my drivers from nvidias latest drivers for my specs (win xp, 7950gt), to z-tweaks latest set , now it says my core clock is reading a measly 700mhz! Compared to 1.4 ghz readings I was getting from my last drivers. I'm a little afraid to mess with the clock settings now, although the games appear to be playing just fine.

default clocks are 550 fore core and 700 for memory. So if it sayd 1400 for core it was just lying.

i think he means the memory is 700 and the effictive is 1400.

The old NVIDIA drivers gave the DDR or "effective" speed. nTune gives actual clock speeds.
