Hi, been lurking the forums for awhile and now have a problem I am hoping someone can help with.
First my specs:
Intel DX38BT
Q9550
4GB mushkin pc-1333 ram
EVGA GTX 260
600 watt psu
In 32bit xp in task manager and process explorer the DPC process uses 0 to 1% cpu and fluctuates like this every second. I have tried my old 8600 GT card-no change, restored two different backups of xp-no change. Cleaned the contacts of the video card-no change but when I uninstall nvidia drivers the cpu usage goes away.
I found a program that checks DPC latency and I get this
I really haven't had any performance issues other than a little bit of popping from my speakers while I play mirror's edge, but seems to go away after playing for some time. I have underclocked and ran my gpu fan at 100% and had no change.
I used to be able to watch task manager with my machine idle and would always stay at zero, does anyone have a machine that dpc is always jumping from 0 to 1% every second? Is it normal for DPC to do this? Has anyone had any recent windows update start causing this?
Any help is much apprectiated. Let me know if some more info would help.
Thanks in advance, Cory
