nVidia Control Panel Problem with 162.18

After installing the new 162.18 drivers, I can't seem to get the control panel to work properly. Initially after the install, when I try to open the control panel from either the right click menu on the desktop or from the tray icon I get the little busy hourglass for a second but then nothing happens. I then installed ntune, and after that I can open the control panel but the only pages I can view are the performance and stress test ones. No sign of the usual control panel pages for adjusting image quality settings and such.

The uninstall of the 94.24s and installation of these drivers seemed to have gone fine, I used the standard procedure of driver cleaner in safe mode. Anybody else have this problem, or better yet, know how to fix it? It's not a huge deal because I can still adjust basic settings from the tray icon like AA and AF, and I can still adjust my clock and fan speeds in the performance tab, but I'd still like to get it fixed. And before anyone recommends I just use RivaTuner, for whatever reason it doesn't allow me to adjust my card's fan speed (with either 94.24 or 162.18), so I really can't use it.

I had this same problem. I managed to fix this by simply re-running the driver install exe without first uninstalling the drivers. I rebooted after running the installer and I had the full control panel back.

I install the new 162.18 drivers. I can't see any nVidia control panel in the icon tray. Other than that everything seem OK. I am using Vista 32bit. Does anyone know why the control panel dispared?

I'll try the reinstall without uninstalling.

Niceguy, 162.18 is listed as supporting Win XP, 162.22 is the latest release for Vista 32-bit.

Edit: Reinstalling over top of the existing install didn't change anything. I guess I'll just live with it for now.
