nVidia control panel not saving changes

I'm trying to setup my HTPC (XP with a GeForce 8400GS running brand new drivers downloaded tonight) on my new flatscreen tv. From the nVidia control panel I can adjust the top/bottom and left/right screen size to fit the tv. I will then 'apply' the settings, however as soon as I close the control panel the adjustments are discarded.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there something specific I need to do to get the control panel to save my changes?

Any help would be great.

After wrestling with this for hours I finally found a solution that looks like it works to save the settings after closing the control panel and rebooting.

Open nVidia control panel
Make adjustment
Run television setup wizard (the screen will reset)
Make the same adjustment a second time
Close the control panel

For some reason by adding the television setup wizard it seems to save the changes but you can only do them one at a time, so if you need to change multiple things you need to run through this a few times. Hope this helps other people.
