I am looking for one of those Nvidia cards based on I think the nv3x core that would allow me to easily software mod it to a workstation Quadro for programs like maya

I have never owned an Nvidia card before so I am not to sure which one it is

If you can tell me or link me to the card at newegg that be great

Do you think a Quadro based on an nv3x would outperform a new 6800GT because I have had it with ati cards and ogl programs

I am not referring to game play, I am referring to ogl performance in 3d programs

Can you tell me which cards I would need in order to software mod a nv3x to a quadro

Thanks
