Nvidia card problem

I have a stupid and probably, easy question for somebody. I installed this Nvidia card that I have and turned up the screen area too high and the screen went blank. So I thought I would plug my old card back in, boot up with it and then shut down and try the new card again. Well the settings stayed the same and the monitor won't come on. Usually when you change the settings, it give's you like 20 seconds and then switches them back, but in this case it didn't happen. How do I reset this card?? TIA
 
maybe unhook the monitor for a few minutes so that it will be recognized as new hardware when you reboot ? Anyone?
 
Do you mean the resolution?
Just boot into safe mode and change it. :)
 
Try this. Hold down the Ctrl key immediately after logging on to Windows.This will bypass the automatic clock setting of the video card.
 
goto safe mode uninstall video driver then restart , install it again
