I need some help on deleting my old nVidia drivers. I have downloaded DriverCleaner and I need someone to list the precedures in order that I need to do to get this task done. This is my first time doing this, so I don't really know where to start.

Thanks!!!

All I did was uninstall old drivers and all nvidia software...Plug in my ATI and installed all the drivers...Driver cleaner is just a precaution not necessary.

thanks... I didn't know that drivercleaner wasn't necessary.

Okay let me try to get this right...

1st step... go to Add/Remove Programs and get rid of the drivers there.
2nd step... go to device manager and disable the video card (is this necessary)?
3rd step... plug in the 9600XT Ati card and install the latest drivers (or install the drivers that came with the video card?)

thanks

A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED precaution.

Mind you, it might work perfectly without using drivercleaner...but if it doesn't, you'll be banging your head against the wall wondering where all those little glitches/freezes/what have you are coming from.

USE Driver Cleaner.. and the instructions (which are very simple) are in the readme file.

Good luck.
