I'm looking up requirements for just 2D Surround and while 3D requires all three monitors are the same, I keep finding reference online that 2D doesn't but I can't find it under requirements on the Nvidia's website. Could someone please assist me in finding some solid information?

The basic requirements are that the monitors need to have the same running resolution, refresh rate, and polarity sync in order for Surround to work. Unfortunately, because the polarity sync is not a widely advertised spec, it may come down to trial and error to have mismatched monitors work. Some people have had success in doing so, and some manufacturers do reveal what it is, however, if you are buying new, you can take the guess work out by buying all of the same monitors.

Hope that helps. :)

I have run surround with 2 1080p and in 1680 monitor before. When you go to enable surround it will scale the resolution to work. You just end up with a funky resolution.
