nvidia 200 or 400 series?

so i have a slot open for another video card. can i mix 200 and 400 series cards, even though the 400 ones have to have gpu3 client?

how much longer before everything goes to gpu3?

yes, you can mix both clients, but it seems to be easier just to do all GPU3, even tho u lose some points

Yes, 88/98 series, 200 series, and 400 series can all run GPU3. Of course the 400 series performs the best with it.

Partially true.

No matter what you do, run gpu3. There's no point in running gpu2 anymore on a fresh install.

If you buy anything but a 4 series, use the -advmethods flag and you will lose 0 points by running gpu3 over gpu2. Why/how? -advmethods forces the gpu3 client to DL core11 WU (which is what gpu2 uses) instead of core15 (which is what is gpu3 normally uses, which are designed for the 4 series - hence the PPD drop if you run them on anything but a 4 series).

gpu3 has some bonuses over gpu2. Easier to set up, more self-aware....under most cases you don't have to use flags like the forcegpu flag that you have to use under gpu2.
