Just picked up a BFGTech 6800GT OC and stable at 420/1.05. My question is would getting a NV5 silencer let me bump up my OC numbers and is the silencer a straightforward install on this card? TIA.

It can if heat is what's stopping you...but you probably need to voltmod your card and use the NV5 and that combo would/should up your overclock....as for installation, you just remove the old heatsink (remove the screws) and wipe off the thermal paste....apply either the thermal paste the NV5 comes with or some Artic Silver if you have any, and screw on the NV5....there are tons of walk-thrus on the forums...check the search button out
