After installing the NV5 on the 6800GT, the temperature was even higher than the stock cooling. Now I don't know what I did wrong. I use as thin as possible on the GPU. I used AS5 on that and for the RAM's stick with the thermal paste they included. A friend said the AS5 was too thick, I made sure this time that it is as thin as possible, I got even higher temps. Before was 80C, now 90C. I tighten the screws as tight as possible, bruising my hand in the process.
I took the idea from a friend using AS5 on the GPU, and I think there is nothing that is better than it. He took 5 attempts to card aat 66C. I just finished my seccond time.
Right now I'm rather pissed of with this thing. The GPU looks shiny enough for me not to place anything on it but the NV5 directly. help.
