i checked my paste on my 68GT and noticed a couple of the memories needed more paste... and the gpu was kinda thin... so i reapplied paste... and my temps are higher now

i wouldnt go above 60.. now ive gotten up to 65 load that it..
idleing at like 55c ,orginally at 52c

is this because the paste hasnt been burned in?
 
Maybe too much paste? Its possible to put too much, also make sure the surfaces are contacting. What kind of thermal paste are you using. I suggest Arctic Silver 5.

 
i bought some geil thermal paste.. i works good...i guess..
i had arctic silver... i took off that paste and put this on.. to see if there was a difference...,for a little yes... but now reapplying it sent my temps back up.

ill have to see what happens when i burn it in.. maybe the temps will go down
