Hello there. I am not sure if the best place for this is in the SFF systems forum, or here, but anyway...
I have the Intel NUC with LAN port (no TB).
All the latest drivers, running Win 8 Pro. It seems to be that the audio HDMI device disappears about 90% of the time you hard power off the screen (TV). With all other graphics cards, it says disconnected when the screen is not present, but with this one the HDMI device is not there at all.
Restarting the PC brings the HDMI device back.
Even weirder, I have got a USB to Optical conveter, and you can hear the "device disconnected" sound, when you turn off the TV, so it knows that the HDMI device has been disconnected.
Of course, I could run the TV in standby, or use all audio out to the hifi... but I shouldn't have to.
Any ideas why this is behaving like it is?
