ntune freezes when I press apply

hey guys I made a thread pretty similar about this and I didn't really get a response or my issue fixed. You see I have an evga 680i board, latest bios, latest version of ntune, and so when I adjust my fsb and press apply the screen just freezes up, nothing responds, just have to do a hard reset. At first I figured it was because my video card couldn't do 32-bit color and ntune kept complaining about that, but now i got a 7600 gt and to my dismay ntune still freezes when I adjust the fsb. memory clock timings doesn't really make it freeze, unless i do a really crazy setting but i'm not really adjusting the fsb too high or too low, just increment of 2 mhz on something already tried and true, so does anyone have any tips tricks workarounds advice or any sort of guidance as to what i can do to get this problem fixed? and please don't tell me to reformat thats the last thing i would like to try
