NTLDR Missing

Hello,

A few days ago I was using my downstairs pc to watch videos on my tv. I shut down my computer, and tried moving it into an entertainment console my tv is in. When I started up the pc I get "NTLDR Missing press CNTRL + ALT + DEL to restart". I inserted the windows xp media center disk and attempted the "copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\" and as soon as I do this I get the blue screen of death saying "BAD_POOL_HEADER"

Any ideas how to eliminate this problem without having to delete partion and reinstall windows? I could probably take this hard drive and hook it up to another pc as the slave and move any important files but I would rather exaust all other options before this. Thanks for your time :)

Perform a repair install. It won't delete anything, all programs will stay there and it will fix any bad files or missing files.

Wow this article looks like it may do the trick, and it was just written a few days ago! Awesome, thanks for your help! :D
