NTLDR Missing
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
A few days ago I was using my downstairs pc to watch videos on my tv. I shut down my computer, and tried moving it into an entertainment console my tv is in. When I started up the pc I get "NTLDR Missing press CNTRL + ALT + DEL to restart". I inserted the windows xp media center disk and attempted the "copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\" and as soon as I do this I get the blue screen of death saying "BAD_POOL_HEADER"
This computer has run for several months without incident. I recently disconnected the ide cables and re connected them with no luck.
Any ideas how to eliminate this problem without having to delete partion and reinstall windows? I could probably take this hard drive and hook it up to another pc as the slave and move any important files but I would rather exaust all other options before this. Thanks for your time
