NTFS Partition recovery?

Are there any free ntfs partition recovery tools? Please do not say Active because their free download DOE NOT recover partitions. Also TestDisk does not want to work period. But with Active's partition recovery tool I can see all the data is still there. HELP!
 
Uncertain if it can help, but have you tried http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
for their cd image? It has various fixit tools and ntfs readers.

Other than that I'd suggest finding a friend with Easy Recovery Pro which should grab the data, unfortunately it isn't free, in fact it's bloody expensive for ordinarly mortals like us :(
 
Maybe you can Ghost the partition and then use Ghost Explorer on another computer to view the image.
