Ntfs Data Recovery Software?, Which one is the best?

I'm trying to recover from friend's NTFS HD. Which software out there out there are the best? :confused:

his "My Document" is deleted somehow. but he said he only reinstall WinXP without Quick Formatting it.

I'm trying Recover My Files, R-Undelete, and Active@ UNDELETE (TRIAL). They all seem to do the same job, and differ very little in price. don't know which one to get.

have you heard of this: http://www.file-saver.com/undelete/? ? on Special right now! but NO TRIAL!?

I've used R-Studio in the past but I imagine they are all pretty much the same, so maybe just used the cheapest one ;)
 
actually I own several and have trialed more
File Scavenger recovers more data than any other Ive found
and is reasonably priced in the median

most can be trialed to see "what they can see"
but recovery requires purchase
