NT backup question

I want to run a full backup on Sunday night at midnight then do differencials Monday - Saturday at midnight. My question is when I create the full job its straight forward and I select what I want, choose full, and schedule it. However when I create the differencial one do I create a different backup file or use the same backup file and selection and choosing differencial.

It would have to be using the same file right? otherwise how would it know to compare aganist the full backup.
