Now this is [H]ard.

I would ask him that, im sure it wouldnt be too hard to do, i know there was talk about it before... hmm.

That LCD is awesome. One of the things I don't like about running folding as a service is that it's hard to check up on how it's doing. That's a perfect solution.

Man, that sounds like you only have 2 friends... maybe you should get out of the house more... and coming from me that's pretty bad!

If you're like me and have an old PalmPilot laying about try....here

I started wanting to buy a palm for that purpose... first it was a III/V I wanted... then I thought why not Vx! Next thing you know I have a Tungsten T3

After seeing all the neat things it could do like xvid/mp3/games/wireless/ect I knew I had to get it! :D

I have a old palm m100 laying around.. i should find that too to play with. hmmm

Hmm... that stuff for the palm makes me want to find mine. I have an old m500 stashed in a box somewhere... not sure if it still works, but that's just too cool an idea to pass up. :D

Well the first problem is actually finding the palm... since we switched to ipaq's and toshiba's I couldn't honestly tell you where that thing's made it off to. If I can find it, I'll be sure to, jfb have you tried that, and do you have pics?

K* I have had personal success with a M105, M500, M505, and T3

to get a USB cradle to work you must use palmorb 1.0 or greater, otherwise you have to find a serial cradle. the only reason I bring this up is 0.92eb which allows emulation of a 40x4 display, this version has unworking USB support.

Hmm now I will have to see if i still have a serial cable. errr.

Hmmm. so many ideas. Have you tried doing any sort of F@H display via the palm?

That is cool. I was going to build one of those LCD things a few years ago, but got lazy. I did buy all the parts though...so they are sitting on my shelf collecting dust...

Mainly I use it to monitor process load, temps and voltages. But I can line read from a file and send that to the screen, so I could probably duplicate the shot that started this post.

For the record I use LCDsmartie 5.3.2b1 as my LCD driver. you can get that here. LCDsmartie already has some stuff for FAH like user name, WU count, Points, Active processors, Team and overall user rank. Maybe someday someone will write a plug in that can do more than that.
