Notfred's VM Appliance & VMWare Player

In preparation for the Chimp Challenge, can someone tell me if I can run Notfred's VM Appliance in VMWare Player or does it need to be VMWare Server? I used to run via VMWare Server, but don't want the hassle of installing (and then uninstalling) VMWare Server if I don't have to.

As my machines normally run WCG, I don't currently run F@H SMP on the CPU. For the Chimp Challenge, I'll run SMP (via notfred's) to gain the additional points on 4xQuad CPUs (AMD PII 940BE, Intel QX9300, Intel Q6600, Intel Core i7).

VMWare Player will run any pre-made appliance. You only need Server or Workstation to build one.
