I am having a problem with my second vmware not finishinig. The past couple of days it gets to 80% or if that far and will throw an error and then start over. Is there anything I can do. The error is Client-core communications error: ERROR 0x0.
 
If your have a heavy OC, take it down a notch.

Things will be stable in Prime and the like but throw and error folding.
 
No overclock. I checked the vmserver and it says ran out memory not sure what memory that is I have 4gb and both are using not even 2gb.
 
Each VM has a certain amount of RAM allocated to it in its settings. The default amount of RAM set for the notfred's VMs is 640MB, which I find to be not enough. Try modifying the VM and giving it 1GB or so and see if that helps. I run a VM (not notfred's) with 1GB and I haven't had any memory issues.

when i was running the notfred stuff.. the one thing i noticed.. it doesnt give a crap what you set the memory too.. even when i had my vm's set to 640mb i noticed them go up as high as 900mb of memory usage..
 
I was curious bout that cause they were set to auto and they were running at 700mb normally. Both of them were like that and I only got that error on the one.
 
I had the same errors until i moved to 64bit windows 7. Make sure you set both the VMware software and the diskless image via the ip address to the amount of ram you can spare. I have both set to 1400mb and while sometimes I get the out of resources message, it continues to fold on without error :)
 
Bringing this back up to the top for some more info. I have still been gettin the errors that I reported earlier and also have seen a couple of error 0x1 and not sure what that means. I did up the mem size to 1024 but I just bumped it up to 1400 to see if that gives me any errors. I am also running on xp 32 bit but I guess I will have to reload windows on it to windows 7 64bit and see if that will help. I will give it a couple of more days and see what happens.
 
When I get those kind of errors, it is sometimes easier to create a new VM. notfred's for the most part is stable, but there will be times when the VM itself gets corrupted for any number of reasons. Creating a new VM takes much less time than it does to debug the issue. If you continue to get the errors (without ever completing a WU), then it point to other hardware (or possiby OS) related issues.
