Vijay just made the following announcement regarding the PROTOMOL Core used on some classic client (uniprocessor) WUs:

Joe found a protomol issue with the Windows systray client that has been causing problems for people. This problem is fixed in v7, but not in v6. So, to keep this issue from donors, we will keep protomol away from Windows systray clients in 2 stages:
1) now: Linux only
2) shortly (~Wed): Linux + Windows (not systray). We need to make AS changes to handle this specific restrict.
