I am looking to replace my netbook with a notebook and am looking for suggestions...
Currently I have an EEEPC with a 1.6 gig atom. I'm not fond of the screen resolution and it can not play videos, even dvd resolution.
I am looking for a 14" notebook that can play HD videos without a problem. I guess my question boils down to this: Will the current integrated Intel graphics chipsets be able to play HD (1080p) video content? Or do I need discrete graphics?
Decent battery life would be nice and a good keyboard. I would just like to be able to fire up a video during my downtime. I have a large collection of blu-rays that I can convert to MKV files. Not really interested in gaming, but it seems that gaming based systems handle video well. I have been looking at a latitude 6410?? (currently has a 38% coupon) but only integrated graphics.
Your input is appreciated.
