i have the Abit KV8-MAX3 board and it has a bunch of memory settings that i have no idea what they do. really the main thing i want to know is: if i change them will it change my performance??? so if you can help me out i would appreciate it!

the settings that i'm unsure about are:
Row Cycle Time
Row Refresh Cycle Time
RAS# to RAS# delay
Write Recovery Time
Write to Read Delay
Read to Write Delay

Read the memory FAQ's. Generally, decreasing the number of the time will generally increase performance. So, for RAS to CAS delay, the lower the number, the better (3T, 2.5T, 2T or 1.5T). However, doing so can make the computer unstable, as well as running it contrary to the manufacturers specs. So, read the Memory guide (or go to www.tweak3d.net) and follow their advice. All of the ones you gave, the general statement is that the lower the number, the faster overall performance is (not clock speed, but overall performance)

thanks for your response, but i have read the memory FAQ and i know all about the "normal" settings. i was asking specifically about the ones i listed
