But it is a desk mod....

Since losing my job and moving back in with my mother till I can get things back in order I've decided to take over my father's old office.

I've spent the past 2 weeks cleaning it out and putting my things in it. And he was big into HAM radio. I sold a lot of his old radio equipment off but still have a few pieces of stuff laying around which I will soon sell as well.

Now, he has an old L shaped desk originally designed for HAM radio equipment. It's a nice enough desk, kind of old and beat and his old computer desk is nothing more than 2 file cabinets with a desktop strewn across them.

What I plan on doing is taking the hutch off of the HAM Radio desk and cutting it apart to make new shelves out of it. I'll keep the sides togather and just make the hutch smaller and move it to one side of the desk.

I'll take the two filing cabinets and stick them inside the two legs of the desk (provided they fit) to make room. If they don't fit I'll do something else with them.

I'll put all my game manuals, programs and games on the shelves along with my automotive service manual and performance books. I'll have room for the gaminmg computer, the websurfing computer and my laptop.

I'll have pics as soon as the desk is completely cleaned off and get pics of the progress up as soon as possible.
