Hey im probably going to be building my third computer ever, second which will actually be mine. I dont really get to upgrade my system much so i want something that will last me a long time. I have chosen all the parts I am going to go with besides my video card, I dont know THAT much about them so im not sure which to get, I do play games, right now i only play Counter-Strike which runs fine on my GeForce4, but i plan to play more new games with my new system so i want something i can game with, these are the rest of the parts:

Abit NF7-S Rev 2.0
AMD Barton 2500+ Retail
2x Corsair XMS DDR400 512mb
Seagate SATA 80gb 8mb
Lite-On 16x DVD Rom
Antec 350watt
Thermalright ''SLK900A''

Hey man, not sure what kind of budget you are on for a new video card BUT if you want something with awesome DX9 performance under $200 you can't go wrong with this.
 
You might just want to keep the GF4 in the new rig until you feel you need something faster. The longer you wait, the more card you're going to get for your money.
 
Oh sorry yea I forgot to mention that i want to keep my budget under $200.00 unless you guys think its better that i throw in a spare video card for now and save up till i get more money and get something else.

I was going with a 9600Pro but i wasnt sure, i chosethis because it was cheaper, is the one you linked me to worth that extra money?

Oh ok, well i was planning on building a completly new system and the main system for gaming and everyday use and the second system to watch DVD's and also everyday use but not as extreme as the main system do you think dvd's will play well with a ATI Rage 32mb/64mb(forgot which) or maybe just buy a 50dollar MX card or somethign?

The one I linked you to is worth the extra money. If you notice, the Powercolor only runs at 400/400(200x2DDR) and the Transcend runs at 400/600 (300x2DDR). So yes its worth the extra few dollars.
