Let me get a bit of backstory first, I had to replace some memory and just had it come in this past week. A few problems occurred once everything installed and I've fixed most of them (simple stuff). Except these two.

When I play a video It freezes for a few seconds, then playes, then freezes again. Combined with that, my sound doesn't work at all. My thinking was that the bad memory effected the data in the files, but before that I've tried reseating both the video card and the sound card. (MSI Radeon 9800 Pro and Cobra AW-850 respectively). Then, I also did a clean reinstall for both drivers. The only thing I can think of now is Reinstalling SP-2 then just reinstalling Windows XP Pro. Could someone help me with something I might have left out?

Have you tried chipset drivers? I'd try updating those first. And don't forget about DriverCleaner, to make sure there's nothing old in there getting in the way.

Alright, so I've reinstalled the chipset... I pretty much was forced to reinstall everything since I sorta screwed up the driver cleaner program. That combined with a couple other factors.

It still doesn't run audio/video properly. I'm getting worried, since it seems to be narrowing down to hardware issues. Considering that I just had this computer out of commission for a week or so due to previous memory issues, I seriously don't want to be forced to RMA my video or sound card :(

(edit: and I have just confirmed it, switched over to the built in sound card and everything runs fine. Looks like it's going to be another thing I'm going to have to RMA to newegg :( )
