Not recieving Email Notifications

If you are referring to email on thread replies, it has been disabled....a long time ago.
 
No... I do not recieve PM emails saying someone has sent me a PM eventhough it is checked under my user profile.

You want a PM to tell you there is a PM in your inbox?
 
Sounds like he is not getting an email letting him know he has a PM.
I don't use this feature so I cannot tell you if its working or not.
 
I am not getting a email notification of receipt of a PM. And I have the option enabled..
 
Do you guys even get that many PMs? Is it so hard to look in the upper right corner from time to time?

Or would you only load the forum if someone PMs you?

Does it matter? This is a forum option that is not working.
 
Yes it matters. A quick glance after loading a forum page versus extra bandwidth to send out emails. You wanna guess how many PMs are sent/received every day with over 80,000 members and a very busy FS/FT forum?
 
But if I am at work and in the middle of a deal here, I can not always log on to check for PM,s.

I've had these enabled and working in the past, and the text of the notification only informs you that a PM has been received, and does not contain the content of the message. It is still necessary to log on to the forum to view the message. If you're trying to have the message forwarded to you, I don't believe that's possible. I would simply post the hours you're available to correspond in your thread to avoid anyone feeling that you're being unresponsive.

Here's an example of the message that's sent when notification is working and enabled:

Oldie,

You have received a new private message at [H]ard|Forum from (user name of the sender). Please click here to log in and read it:
http://www.hardforum.com/private.php

Not sure what your problem is but it is getting old. This thread was to notify forum staff of a problem with a forum option that is not working. Not too have people nitpick on why we want or need a email notification of a pm being received. Now if the forum leaders decide this option is no longer a option for this forum, it should be removed from the user control panel. Why I want or need this option is really only my business. Have a nice day.

I only need the notification of a pm being sent to me. Then I can take the minute to log on to forum to respond.
