i had to do this to my desk. it was really pissing me off.

my keyboard tray on my desk had this very very annoying 2 inch tall "wrist rest" that seemed to be a wrist cutter instead. it sucked.

anyway, i tore that off and covered the exposed particle board crap with some aluminum sheeting i had left over. i didnt have the proper screws to do the job, so now i have these wood screw heads sticking out of my desk till i get around to getting to the store to buy some better screws.

I also upgraded from a dell "enhanced multimedia" keyboard to a logitech Elite...

on the other hand, it feels a lot better. typing on the elite is a lot easier.. and i never used the F-keys anyways. and i can finally get rid of the POS gel wrist rest i had that was supposed to keep my hands above the cutoff.

now i just have to lower the tray by about an inch and a half, and i'm good to go.

EDIT:

i know it's really cheesy and unplanned out and crappy looking, but i was going for function, not form. :p

you know.. i just realized i still had angle aluminum i could have used.. and had a nice flush corner..

what the hell did i do it this way for?

*sigh*

guess i'll have to redo it :p

too bad i did a backup to the screws with liquid nails.
