Ok I have a 500 watt powersupply with only 3 fans + my vidcard hooked up to it, but I always end up getting a message that says the motherboard doesnt supply enough 3.3 voltage and yes imo I think this does cause problems.

vid card = 9800XT
motherboard= ASUS A7A266

any suggestions/safe tweakage?

If you mean videocard whise its a ASUS as well if im not mistaken with the double fan and heatsink wrapped around basically the whole card.

edit: and powersupply wise its an allied 500watt

dont mean to bump, but id like to fix this problem.

Is there any sort of volt tweakage I can do or something? :(

Allied supplies are very cheaply made. I assume it came with your case? There's nothing wrong with that, but like all super cheap parts a few are bad out of the box. It's probably just a bad PS. I would try a new supply first, even a 300-350w and see if it still does it.

It's not just volts it's also about amps!
Check out the power supply threads!

The rule is: a high quality 300w power supply has a better chance of running these cards stable than a 550w cheapie.
