...I have reason to fire up VM Ware after all... I invested (wasted) many, many hours on this game. ...and "Zany Golf". ...and Mechwarrior.

Do you remember the stink over DOS 6.2? And they had to then make the .21 and .22 versions as they sorted out the compression (legal) issues? Heh. That was funny. From back then the biggest things I remember on the OS front was how VERY fast 3.11 was... and then how OS/2 Warp was going to be this big thing... I think my friend and I made up a measurable percentage of the user base when it was all said and done, which is too bad as it really was quite good.

Hmm. I'm thinking I should be grateful for what I have gotten done in life given my affection for these things; and the cost of the hobby (My first RAM upgrade was just about $650 for the meg. The single meg). The $1500 modem owns me, but wow; have prices sure changed. I can't get over the AMAZING laptops that can be purchased for less than that first upgrade.
 
I'm scared to ask what the baud on that modem was. I hope it didn't have micro- attached to it:D
 
Just so you know, you can download a ton of DOS games and still play them.

Not that long ago I was playing Jazz Jackrabbit, and Maniac Mansion in win98 compatability mode. Some will need to run in DOS for real though. You can VM it easily...theres no heavy graphics to worry about.
