Norton Antivirus Liveupdate is refusing to install updates

I'm on my aunt's computer, and Norton antivirus says it's virus definitions are out of date. Liveupdate runs, it detects new definitions and downloads them, but it won't install them because "you tried to overwrite a file that is in use" and it says to close all Symantec Programs. But there aren't any other programs running at all other than Liveupdate.

Has anyone else had this problem, or know offhand of something that may fix it?

It could be a virus... how ironic

Try to uninstall Norton Antivirus, use the Rnav2003.exe Removal tool, then reinstall Norton Antivirus.

It could be just a hiccup in the system. Completely removing Norton and reinstalling it might help.
