Hey guys, i dont know if any of you have been following a couple of threads that got moved to the AMD section but its been a pretty heated argument all the way. We've pretty much came to the conclusion that both processors have their strong points and nither one are really the "best" although the Pentium 4 is a little better overall according to benchmarks and the A64 is a little better at gaming. There are still the AMD fanboys that will argue that AMD rules and Intel drools no matter how many supporting links you provide but i tend to ignore those types. I like both processors and enjoy constructive arguments.

3.2Ghz P4 beats the A64 3200+ in nearly 70% of the benchmarks.

Old Skool has this program he wrote to bench processor and he wants people with different processor to post their results.

Heres the download for the program:

He's going to post the results from his A64 later tonight. Maybe some of you can chip in and reply in the thread and post your results also.

Later Fella's.

Someone could show results from AnandTech, GamePC, or Ace's Hardware that shows the Athlon 64 processors winning the majority of benchmarks. It all boils down to benchmark selection, and, sadly, the reviewer's integrity. With that said, let's see some benchmarks!

Yea i'm permanently pulling out of the Strictly AMD section for a while lol. I'll have to refrane from getting drawn in from the General Hardware section when they move the thread im talking in over to that AMD fanboy lounge.

So anyways i wonder how Prescott is going to do :D.

Hopefully after its clock speed is ramped up more its 30 stage pipelines wont effect its performance too bad.
