Just curious from those of you that are running the Lian Li V series and other cases where the MB placement is reversed are you seeing higher NB temps than in a traditionally mounted case.

I have a friend that states his NB temps went up as much as 10 degrees due to changing the direction of the heat dissipation. Makes sense, but I haven't tested it and am considering buying one of these type cases.
 
Is this a stupid question or has no one ever considered this? You guys publish more on cases that is worthwhile than any other forum IMHO and I was hoping for some feedback.
 
Does your friends motherboard's chipset heatsink, have heat pipes? It seems if I recall there was some mention of raised temps with inverted motherboards with heatpipes. I'm not sure if it was actually proven, but the idea was tossed around and could explain the rise in temps.

Thanks Ryck, and yes it does have heatpipes as do most of the newer motherboards. The fact that heat rises IMHO opinion would lend a certain degree of credibility to this. I don't currently own an inverted case, but was considering one and a 5-10 degree NB temp increase would be a deal breaker for me. I also know that Lian Li is revising some their V-series (the 2000 I'm sure of) and they are going back to a tradional MB mounting, but this could be simply coincidence.
