Hey, just got a SP-97 and a NB-1 from thermalright but they wont fit on my NF7-S together. the NB-1 fits fine if i take off the fan but i dont know how good this will be. I will have a tornado running on my SP-97 pushing the air away and i was thinnking that that would be good e-nuff for the cooling. if not does anyone have any ideas bout how to make it fit?

the prpblem is its not just the fan but the fan mounting clips that wont fit. i was thinking about getting rid of the whole outside part of the fan and using thermal take to tape the inside part of the fan to the center of the heatsink. i think it will fit like this have i have done my moc ups. anyways it will be a fun mod. any ideas would be welcome, right now i am cutting up my stuck NB to get the fan out.
 
northbridge fans usually only move like 3-5cfm which is next to nothing. Plus a vantec tornado moves almost as much air as every fan in my case put together so I would think that you would be just fine, if your really worried and arent against it, try adding an intake fan in the side of the case, those really help temps
 
yea i have 2 side intakes, and i just did something really stupid.
note to self dont work a 9 hour shift then work on a new build. i totaly wrecked my stock NB fan to get the smaller fan out of it before i even tested the mobo. now if i have to RMA it i am fucked. anyways, what i did is take the stock fan and put some thermal take on the bottom of it and planted it in the mid of my NB cooler. lapped the cooler and now i am going to bed before i do anything eles stupid.
