Normal temperature for P4 640?

What temperature can I expect to get from a P4 640 3.2Ghz 64-bit at idle, using standard cooling equipment - no over-clocking or anything. I'm getting 48C from mine - no case cooling and about 21-22C room temperature.

This sounds hot, but I asked a customer waiting in the queue in a computer shop and he said that these processors do run hot, and that 47-48 is about right, may be even slightly under what he'd expect to get.

I don't know about these things but my last processor, an AMD T-bird 1.2, ran at 40C idle but that was with a Megafan doing well over 5000 rpm.
