Hello there. :)

During my late spring cleaning I notice my gtx 260 has some wet/oil spots

It has been running in my system with 196.21 drivers for the past 2 years. Smooth sailing so far.

Is this the normal for aging gpus?

wet oil spots?

post up a pix man cause I got a 3 year old 4870 that is as dry as a bone

That's definitely not normal. Where is your computer located? Are you water cooling or something?

Just looks like some finger grease on the matte finish. Like fried chicken? :D

The spot is definitely noticeable with the human eye, specially with all that dust cover on the gpu.

Fried chicken and PCs? I don't even......

They just look like oil from your finger from when you inserted the card into the slot.

like everyone else said, its just from yo greasy fingers :p pretty normal, my cards have them as well from me moving my cards around all the time.

I got an old 8800 GTX and it's greaseless. Looks like you were alittle too excited getting that video card. Lets hope it's finger grease ;)
