I just put in an XFX GeForce 8600 GT. According to a couple of monitoring programs its running at about 52C. Is that a normal temp?

and also the card came with no intructions. with past cards Ive had to plug the powers supplly up to it or something... with this one I didnt see a place to plug anything - just the sli bridge. Is that how its supposed to be?

Thanks

Not knowing how the heatsink looks, 52C seems fine to me.
I'm not sure about your plug question though. The 8X00 cards I've come across did have a place to plug a power connector. However, if it functions fine, then I suppose XFX built it so it wouldn't need the extra juice.

52C is a fine operating temp. The 8600gt does not have a 6 pin pci-e connector, only the 8600gts does.
