O.K. this other rig that I am building has a

P4 3.4Ghz
2 gig of Corsair XMS memory.
240 gig hard drive
Radeon X850XT overclocked to 562/590 with 5.3 catalyst drivers.
Audigy 2ZS soundcard

Are these benchmarks normal?
3DMark05- 6207
3DMark03- 13,590
Aquamark03- 72,213 CPU 10,450 GPU 10,437

Are these normal benchmarks? Settings for GPU is on high performance and application controlled for AA and AF.

The average score for a X850 XT is 6,491.
The average OC is 574/593.

So my benchmarks are lower then what they should be huh?
 
I dunno. All of your stuff seems up to snuff.

What brand and Wattage of PSU do you have?
Where you running anything during the benchmark?
 
I have a Antec 500W power supply and the plug that is going to my video card is all by itself, and I am only running ZoneAlarm and ati tool in the background, with those two i only have 16 processes running in windows. Which is amazing, I have tweaked the registry and services, to get it like this...Why is my benchmark lower then it should be?
 
you have to turn off all uneccasary processes.. maybe turn off your internet for the 10mins for the 3dmark to run so u dont have to worry about zone alarm being off
also do u have AA or AF in your catalyst settings...that mite make your score lower
 
They are good scores. Slightly above mine and I o/c'ed a bit.

Post a link to your score though so people don't cry foul. ;)
 
probly your CPU. a lot of people use AMD 64 and OC the hell out of them. and AMD is much better in games then Intel. but dont worry, those are great scores

You're also below the average OC.
 
If it weren't for the first four or five "streroid" machines you'd be better than average, don't worry about it!
 
Those scores seem just about where they should! When i had my agp 850 xt pe at stock speeds(would NOT oc at all) on a 540 3.2e @ 3.68 and 1 gig/2gig(didn't make a difference with the extra 1 gb) crucial 3200 normal ram, I only scored 6000 something, maybe 61xx once. 133xx in mark03 and like 68-70k in aqua.
